Ahoy dear fools,

Demonic thankfully pointed it out to me that you can't change the forum display style. Sadly the setting was so that the default overrides user setting. I've changed that so now your setting in profile takes effect.
For me setting the style to SubSilver now even shows me subjects with new posts, something I missed so far.

While we are at forum: I guess you all noticed that on the upper left there is missing a logo for some time now. If I understand it right, I cannot simply remove it, but can only replace it with another picture.

So please help me finding a picture to put there. And to encourage your creativity I want to give a prize to the winner. I'm thinking about a wrapped parlor badge for the spades addicts out there. If that doesn't suit you I'm sure we can find another prize you are more comfortable with. If several good entries are submitted, there may be more than one prize.

Nid

Are there any size or format limitations Nid? I would guess Jpg would be the only format.

I don't know of any restrictions. A jpeg, gif or png format should be fine.
About size: anything that seems fitting I would say.

The size is 160x120 pixel in the moment, which looks good for me.

As much as I would like to, I can't take credit for that phrase, one of my staff saw what I was doing and came out with it, lol
I'm still trying to work out what she meant too.

Thanks, Olden one, been a while since I used photobucket and I see they can resize to that size.

and another one, I used me own pic, because I can't get on game yet, but I could use a screenie of as many of the crew, as we can get together, in one place.

I dont know if ye can use banners on this forum, but here's one anyway.

I agree with AnnieLou -- I like that slogan the most.

One artistic point, though: How would the flag look if the swords crossed over the skull's mouth, in a kind of "Shhh!" gesture?

I wish my photo shop skills were up to doing that Hilde, but alas, I'm a noob in that area, the flag is a single picture I've had for a couple of years, I just gave it the wave effect.
If anyone out there can do it, give me a shout and I can send them the pic to play with.

I may be able to put a skelly hand over the mouth, as long as I can find a suitable pic somewhere.

EDIT
Ok, this was the best I could do.

It seems that ye can put a picture of almost any size, in that spot, however, it pushes the text, next to it, around a bit. So I created a forum to play with. By changing the style of the forum, you can in fact use a banner pic there, The one I used was 459 x 94. Using the yellowglass style, puts the text up into the border above the pic. this can be seen here.. http://silentfools.freeforums.org/index.php.

That forum is just to test things on, if any of this forums admin would like to use it, to test various settings, pictures or styles out etc, then let me know and I can give ye admin status on it. It is the same phpbb forum as this one, just hosted on a different server.

And one more pic..
